Born on the 4th of February 1956 in Zurich /Switzerland.
From 1976 to 1993, works as an electrician/gaffer
for about 35 feature films, countless commercials,
documentaries and corporate movies with DoP’s like
William Lubtchansky, Renato Berta, Lukas Strebel,
Jörg Schmidt-Reitwein, Piotr Sobociński, Sławomir Idziak.
In 1993/94, on Krzysztof Kieślowski’s Trilogy “Three Colors :
Blue - White - Red”, he makes his last films as a gaffer
and is also assigned the 2nd camera operator on “Red”.
Having become director of photography in 1994, he’s made over 30 feature length films ever since.
